Canadian Communities

Canadian Communities is an affiliate of the U.S. Communities purchasing alliance. Like U.S. Communities, Canadian Communities assists nonprofits and public agencies in reducing the cost of purchased goods by leveraging collective purchasing power.Canadian Communities Advantages

National Joint Powers Alliance

The National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) is a joint powers authority similar to U.S. Communities. Under a joint powers agreement, a lead agency negotiates a contract with a product supplier that is open for all members of the alliance to use. The NJPA also works to maintain a high quality of service from the product suppliers.

To participate in the NJPA an organization must first register on the NJPA’s website. After the registration process is complete, an organization may order directly from any participating product supplier.

Seventh Generation
Seventh Generation manufactures environmentally preferable paper products and cleaning supplies. Products offered by Seventh Generation include paper towels and bathroom tissue made from 100% post-consumer recycled content. Seventh Generation, Inc. has developed a non-profit buying program for the benefit of non-profit organizations throughout the United States.
To participate in Seventh Generation’s non-profit buying program an organization must completely fill out the Seventh Generation order form and fax it to (802) 863-1601. First time orders take up to three weeks to ship, subsequent orders are processed in ten days. Shipping costs are charged on all invoices. Organizations can keep shipping costs down by ordering larger quantities.
