Traveling to Chicago Waldorf School

 
Air
There are two airports from which to choose:
O'Hare International Airport (ORD)
Midway Airport (MDW)
 
Train
Amtrak Union Station is in downtown Chicago. 
 
Ground Transportation
Car:  airports are 40-60 minutes to the Chicago Waldorf School.
Taxis, Uber and Lyft are easily accessible from anywhere in the city or surrounding suburbs.
 
Chicago Transit Authority ( the “L”)
The Red Line "L" (Berwyn station) is close by CWS and will take you south to  downtown or north to Evanston.
- from O’Hare Airport: take the Blue Line to the Red Line (1 hour to CWS).
- from Midway Airport: take the Orange Line to the Red Line (1 hour 15 min to CWS).
 

The Chicago Waldorf School sits on the corner of Ashland and Foster Avenues. Both of these streets have bus lines – Ashland (Bus 50) runs north and south, and Foster (Bus 92) will take you east and west.

Parking
There is limited street parking available at the school location. If you decide to drive, you will likely need an extra 10-15 minutes to park and walk to the school.

Chicago Waldorf School’s campus is in the heart of the thriving neighborhood called Andersonville. This neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants and shops one block from the school. 

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available nearby. As we get closer to the conference opening, we will send you a more detailed list of suggested eateries.
