Two years ago second grade teacher, Brandy Young, sent a note home to parents about "No more homework." It went viral. Now, she says her experiences in the classroom have only reinforced the idea that effective teaching is all about relationships.

She says, "Student work, regardless of when and where it's done, should be meaningful, engaging, and relevant. No packets ever. Period."
